New tailored winch delivered to Redningsselskapet

Proud to share the news about one of our most recent deliveries: A custom-built winch for the new sea rescue vessel Gjert Wilhelmsen II. A special project we truly appreciate having been a part of.

On behalf of the Redningsselskapet (Norwegian Sea Rescue Society), we have developed a purpose-built towing and handling winch which is mounted in the engine room – freeing up significant space on deck. The winch is suspended on a frame that floats as the wire is spooled in and out.

Thanks to Redningsselskapet and GOT Marine for the excellent cooperation, and for choosing SHM again.

Now, Gjert Wilhelmsen II is all set to save lives along the Norwegian coast. In some of the roughest conditions there are. Our best wishes to the new vessel and her crew!
