Categories
Standard winches
Our standard winches feature a conventional and lightweight design with a modular drum and customised configuration options, including double winch setups. The drive unit comprises a direct coupled hydraulic motor with planetary gear and band brake, delivered as a standalone unit with foundation plates for easier installation.

– 2-compartment drum for maximum pull capacity with full drum. Towing mode available

Electrical winches
All our winches can be delivered with electrical drives and fullfill all requirements in ISO7365 and Regulations by Norwegian Maritime Directory.
The winches are efficient, silent and deliver high torque at low rpm. A great benefit is regeneration of power which reduces the carbon footprint.

Anchor handling & towing winches
Designed for maximum pull and storage capacity. Drives, brakes, drum and foundations are designed acc. to the latest rules and regulations. Winch drum with 2-compartment layout gives you full storage capacity in main compartment, and maximum pull capacity in second compartment.
– SWL10T – 200T+ with fully de-clutchable drum and additional dynamic brake for high speed launching
– Our anchor handling and towing winches are designed acc. to ISO7365, NMA regulations FOR-2652 and RSV 09-2017
– Load measurement integrated in the drum foundation. The 2-compartment drum enables maximum pull capacity with full drum
– Towing mode specially designed for heavy operations. Load measurement and length measurement keep the towing line in position and reduces peak loads. The system is fully automatic within the parameters given by the operator.
Capstans
Our range includes hydraulic and electrical (incl. HighTorque) capstans with 1 - 10 tonnes capacity. Hydraulic capstans are equipped with fail-safe brake, electrical capstans with variable frequency drive.
Standard capstans are delivered with foot pedal and emergency stop. Customized pedestal for deck mounting is also available.
Windlass
We deliver a robust windlass with steel drum designed acc. to DNV GL Rules for Ships HSLC and adapted to vessel size and anchor class.
Electrical windlass:
A compact electrical windlass with simple vessel interface, no hydraulic piping required. Designed for both wire or chain according to class requirements.
Tugger winches
SHM vertical tugger winches are small and flexible auxiliary winches for rigging and handling on deck. We have developed an integrated winch with self-spooling mechanism which enables the rope to be used in all directions from the winch.
This winch can also be a safer alternative to capstans. It's delivered with a hydraulic motor, gearbox and automatic brake, or a frequency-controlled electric motor.
Storage winches
Our storage winches are designed to accommodate maximum quantity of rope, hawser and net. The winches can also be delivered with tension mode to ease spooling and required back tension.
